DENVER — By necessity and through recruiting, Colorado State came out with a much different look for the 2016 season with 14 players making their first appearance in a Rams' uniform.
Of that group, three were true freshmen. Defensive lineman Toby McBride was the first to see action, coming in on the second offensive series by Colorado. Soon after, running back Marvin Kinsey Jr. made his debut in the backfield, and wideout Anthony Hawkins.
Four junior college transfers from the 2016 recruiting class saw the field, too: receivers Michael Gallup and Deitrich Clark, tight end Dalton Fackrell and kicker Tavis Guerra.
