FORT COLLINS — The goal of reaching a fourth straight bowl game was met, and for Colorado State, it will mean a second game on the blue turf of Albertsons Stadium.
Colorado State learned Sunday it will be playing in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Dec. 22 (5 p.m.; ESPN), facing the Idaho Vandals as the game made a switch to land the in-state school instead of a contracted MAC opponent.
The Rams (7-5) head into the game having won four of their past five games; Idaho, in its final year as an FBS team (the Vandals are dropping down to FCS starting next season), comes in at 8-4, winning six of its past seven games to finish fourth in the Sun Belt Conference.
