Receiver Tyler Smith, who had originally committed to North Carolina, has reversed course and announced on social media he will sign with Colorado State.
A four-star recruit according to Scout.com, Smith had not signed with the Tar Heels as he was coming off a pair of knee surgeries that shortened his junior and senior years. He is eligible to sign with the Rams and be able to play right away. He has only been able to play in four games combined the past two seasons, with 15 receptions for 250 yards and four touchdowns. As a sophomore, the 6-foot, 185-pound target caught 48 passes for 936 yards and 14 scores for McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Ga.
