FORT COLLINS — Colorado State football coach Mike Bobo said Tuesday the team expects wide receiver John Freismuth to be back on the field by mid June after undergoing surgery Monday to repair a broken collarbone sustained in Saturday's spring game.
Bobo said the report from the training staff was the injury could keep Freismuth, a Loveland graduate, out from six to 10 weeks.
Freismuth had an impressive day in the Green and Gold spring game, all the way up until when the injury occurred. It came at the end of a 45-yard reception he hauled in down the sideline, landing hard on his right shoulder with a defender on top of him.
