FORT COLLINS — Just like his players, Mike Bobo wants to remain calm.
The first-year coach at Colorado State finally has hit game week with his football team, and just like his players, he's ready to go. As the new T-shirt on campus proclaims: Bobo Knows.
He went to bed early Sunday, about 9 p.m., comparing it to Christmas, but he understands he can't get too far ahead of himself as he leads a team onto the field for the first time Saturday when the Rams host Savannah State at Hughes Stadium (2 p.m.).
Monday, he woke up to a text from his father, George, reminding him to enjoy the journey and every moment leading up to it.
