Colorado State football aims to stay sharp in mind and body

FORT COLLINS — Fall camp doesn't even last this long.

For Colorado State's football team, the Arizona Bowl will come 31 days (Dec. 29, 5:30 p.m.) after playing the regular-season finale at Fresno State. It's a long delay, one that the Rams who are bowl tested aren't used to having. First-year coach Mike Bobo is, as the Georgia teams he coached were accustomed to the long layoffs.

So he has a plan that he's used, but he's also adjusted it to accommodate his current team which isn't.

"Because it's new for these guys, I've had a few more practices than we normally would in a place like Georgia," Bobo said Friday.
