FORT COLLINS — Colorado State added to its football roster Wednesday, getting a signed financial aid agreement from Paul Thurston, who joins the program as a graduate transfer after four years at Nebraska.
Thurston, a standout in his high school days for Arvada West, was a back-up center for the Huskers, appearing in 23 games. He was a regular on their kicking and punt units last season, and when starter Ryne Reeves left the Foster Farms Bowl with an injury, stepped in and helped the team rush for 326 yards in a win over UCLA.
After graduating from AWHS in 2012, the 6-foot-5, 295-pound Thurston redshirted his first year and didn't play in 2013.
