Colorado State footbal building depth at cornerback

FORT COLLINS — When fall camp opened, there was one certainty at cornerback, and it was Tyree Simmons.

Behind the senior — who started 25 career games and is expected back in the starting lineup Saturday against Fresno State (1:30 p.m.; ROOT SPORTS) — there were a host of questions marks.

Jordon Vaden proved to be a quick study after moving from wide receiver, but was still untested. Shun Johnson had one start on his resume and Kevin Nutt Jr. none. True freshman Robert Awuyganyi was intriguing as a prospect, but nowhere near ready to contribute in that role.
