Colorado State drops high-scoring affair at Air Force

AIR FORCE ACADEMY — For most of a young Colorado State defense, Saturday night was the first good look at the Air Force option attack.

A lot of the Rams are still looking for the pitch man, as Air Force's Tim McVey hit the Rams for four touchdowns and 174 yards on just 14 carries as the Falcons rushed for 471 yards in the highest-scoring game in series history, a 49-46 victory for the Falcons.

Colorado State coach Mike Bobo said the game wouldn't be for everybody, and the Rams simply weren't ready on the defensive end, though the unit did produce two turnovers and scored a touchdown on Justin Sweet's 27-yard interception return for a score.
