On Sunday, Footballscoop.com was reporting sources have said Colorado State defensive coordinator Tyson Summers was set to become Georgia Southern's next head coach. Georgia Southern had not confirmed the hire as of Sunday.
CSU practiced Sunday morning, the last workout for the team before breaking for Christmas. The school had no comment on the report as to whether Summers is leaving or, if so, will he remain with the team through the Arizona Bowl on Dec. 29.
For Summers, it would be a return to one of his coaching stops, having been the safeties coach there in 2006.
