FORT COLLINS — Colorado State junior center Jake Bennett was named to the Rimington Award watch list Wednesday, following his inclusion on the organization's spring list from May.
The Rimington Award is given annually to the best center in college football.
Bennett started all 13 games for the Rams last year at center, helping the team average better than 200 yards per game rushing as the offense ranked 11th nationally by allowing just 4.62 tackles for loss per game while allowing just 1.17 sacks per contest. The junior from Bear Creek High School started three games as a redshirt freshman before being sidelined the remainder of the year with a knee injury.
