Colorado State put together quite the second-half rally, but a 14-point halftime deficit was simply too much to overcome in an 84-80 loss Saturday night at Boise State.
After trailing 42-28 at the break, the Rams came storming back to get within two points with plenty of time left, down 69-67 with 6:57 on the clock.
But CSU could never fully get over the hump after a couple of key turnovers in the final minutes to drop its Mountain West opener at Taco Bell Arena.
"It's too bad we didn't steal one here, but we're better for it," CSU coach Larry Eustachy said on his postgame radio interview on 105.
