Colorado State basketball will host Wichita State next season as part of the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge, the leagues announced Tuesday.
Nine of the 10 MW/MVC games will be Saturday, Dec. 3, including the CSU-Wichita State matchup at Moby Arena.
Matchups for the Challenge Series are determined by the performances of teams from previous seasons, RPI rankings and projections "based on composite" sources, the MW release says.
CSU is 3-2 all-time in the MW/MVC Challenge, which began in 2009-10 and renewed this season after a two-year hiatus. The Rams won at Northern Iowa to begin the season in their 2015 Challenge game, ending the Panthers' 18-game home-court win streak.
