FORT COLLINS — For the second game in a row, Colorado State had no answer for the opposition in the paint, getting outscored 30-12 on Monday by Loyola Marymount two days after getting doubled up by Kansas State (36-18).
But unlike their 19-point loss to the Wildcats in Denver on Saturday, the Rams were still in position to win this one, up 10 with less than 9 minutes to play.
The double-digit lead was not enough, though, as CSU made just one field goal the rest of the game, allowing LMU's Brandon Brown to knock down an open 3-pointer from the top of the key in the final seconds to stun the Rams, 69-66, in front of 2,476 at Moby Arena.
