Last week Colorado State secured its first commit for the 2017 recruiting class with a pledge from Chilean-born big man Felipe Haase.
The 6-foot-10, 250-pound senior to be at Cathedral High School in Los Angeles not only brings plenty of size and length, but he also has the ability to stretch the floor and can be effective in pick-and-roll and pick-and-pop situations, said his coach, Williams Middlebrooks.
Haase, a member of the Chilean men's U18/19 national team along with CSU redshirt freshman Nico Carvacho, averaged a modest 3.6 points and 4.6 rebounds as a junior at Cathedral.
