FORT COLLINS — No Gian, no problem.
With its best player, Gian Clavell, indefinitely suspended, the Colorado State men's basketball team still managed to start the season with a win.
The Rams overcame a slow start and a rough shooting performance to beat visiting New Mexico State, 64-61, on Sunday at Moby Arena.
Coach Larry Eustachy's team shot just 25.9 percent in the first half and trailed by as much as 11 in the opening frame before turning things around in the final 20 minutes, earning Eustachy his fifth season-opening win at CSU in as many tries.
