Coming off an 11-21 campaign and under the leadership of new head coach Niko Medved, the Colorado State men's basketball team was slotted eighth in the Mountain West preseason predicted order of finish as voted on by the media.
No CSU Rams were chosen for any of the preseason all-conference awards. Medved is inheriting a team with plenty of returning talent as Nico Carvacho (9.2 ppg, 10.3 rpg), Deion James (10.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg), J.D. Paige (10.4 ppg) and Anthony Bonner (8.9 ppg) are back along with the addition of transfers Kris Martin (Oral Roberts) and Hyron Edwards (Texas Tech) to go with the arrival of freshman Adam Thistlewood and Kendle Moore.
