FORT COLLINS — At one point during Niko Medved's six seasons as an assistant at Colorado State, he and his wife, Erica, were stuck waiting for a train in Fort Collins. Hard to believe, isn't it?
The idle time got them thinking.
"'If you could be one place, what would that place be?'" Erica recalls. "And both of us said Fort Collins."
That explains why Niko was so willing to leave Drake after just one season and become Colorado State's new men's basketball head coach.
"This feels like home," Erica said.
