We had a feeling this was coming. All the signs pointed to it. The Denver Broncos promoted running back Kapri Bibbs to the active roster today, releasing the recently-signed tight end Richard Gordon.
The decision to promote Bibbs was made after Juwan Thompson's availability for the Broncos Week 6 road game in Cleveland became questionable. Thompson has been nursing a hamstring injury for the last couple of weeks.
Head coach Gary Kubiak has expressed the objective of wanting to get Thompson more involved in the offense, but the injury bug has prevented it.
