Colorado State will not be joining the Big 12, and neither will anybody else.
The announcement Monday by University of Oklahoma president David Boren and Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby at a press conference in Dallas did not come as a shock to Colorado State athletic director Joe Parker.
"It's what I expected," Parker said as the Big 12 decision was still being discussed. "Through conversation over the last several weeks, pull it back to mid-July or July 19 and 20, I'm not surprised that that's the decision they arrived at. I think it's a good outcome.
