LAS VEGAS — Antwan Scott's stay in Fort Collins lasted a year longer than he planned, but if he continues the pace he's been on all season for just one more game, he'll leave his mark on the program forever.
The transfer from Grambling State enters Wednesday's first-round Mountain West tournament game against San Jose State with 88 made 3-pointers on the season, just two behind Andy Birley's single-season program record set in 2003.
On Tuesday Scott learned about the record from roommate Gian Clavell, whose season-ending injury in December moved Scott into the starting lineup after an up-and-down start to the year coming off the bench.
