Anthony Perkins joins CSU football coaching staff

FORT COLLINS — Players weren't the only announced commitments for Colorado State on Wednesday, as head coach Mike Bobo landed a cornerbacks coach to fill an important gap.

Former Colorado player Anthony Perkins, who played at Northglenn in high school, has joined the Rams as the new cornerbacks coach, just eight days before the start of spring camp.

Perkins replaces Eric Lewis, who left the program in January to go to Boston College. He still needs to replace wide receivers coach Alvis Whitted, who departed for an NFL job with the Green Bay Packers.

Perkins is a coach who has been under consideration by Bobo in the past.
