Wilin Rosario outrighted to Triple-A Albuquerque, Rockies hold him for now - The Denver Post
In something of a surprise occurrence, Rockies catcher/first baseman Wilin Rosario cleared waivers after being designated for assignment November 20 and has been assigned to Triple-A Albuquerque. Rosario hit .268/.295/.416 with six home runs in 87 games for the Rockies in 2015, making it the worst offensive season of the four full seasons he has spent with Colorado.
Despite his issues defensively, it was thought that an American League team would pick up Rosario, who has a pair of 20 home run seasons in his career, as a designated hitter.
