The ongoing battle between Tyler Anderson and his left knee continues. And the Rockies’ left-hander is pulling a specialist in from Chicago to join the fight.
Anderson, whose knee landed him on the injured list this season and then got him a demotion to Triple-A Albuquerque earlier this month, is visiting a knee specialist in the Windy City on Monday, manager Bud Black said.
“Tyler felt as though he needed it and (we) looked at it,” Black said of Anderson, who posted an 11.76 ERA and an 0-3 record in five starts before being optioned to the Isotopes on May 4.
