Just like we profiled on this segment last Wednesday, the Colorado Rockies lost an extra innings walk-off heartbreaker eight years ago today.
More From Wayback Wednesday
The Colorado Rockies typically don’t play very well on the road, but don’t tell that to the 2007 team: they were 90-73 overall (including the infamous play-in game), and went 39-42 on the road that year, which is one of the better Rockies’ road record marks in the franchise history.
Not surprisingly, they made the playoffs, in part thanks to good play on the road, great play at home (51-31), and halfway decent pitching that coupled with the Rockies’ always strong lineup.
