Tuesday Pebble Report: Brendan Rodgers homers in second consecutive game

Brendan Rodgers hit a home run for the second day in a row and his sixteenth on the season for the Yard Goats on Monday. Rodgers had not homered since June 14th before hitting homers on consecutive days. Despite a brief home run drought, Rodgers’ slugging percentage has stayed relatively even over that stretch — now at .531 for the season.

Asheville had a shootout in their contest with Lexington as PuRPs Ryan Vilade (no. 7 PuRP) and Chad Spanberger (no. 29 PuRP) both homered. Tomorrow, Will Gaddis (no. 23 PuRP), who is coming off of three consecutive starts of six innings pitched and two or fewer earned runs allowed, will get the start for Asheville.
