Troy Tulowitzki struggling with pitch recognition, not trade rumors

What's going on with Tulo? | FOX Sports
There is a lot of concerning stuff with Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, as Owen Watson lays out. Tulo, who has made a living clobbering fastballs for the last decade or so, is really struggling with those pitches this season. In addition, his home run power is diminishing (as evidenced by a decline in fly ball distance) and he's had a flat-out awful approach at the plate this season, offering at far too many pitches out of the zone and making less contact than usual.

All of this could be attributed to small sample size -- and all of it could be forgotten if Tulo goes on one of his patented hot streaks.
