SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Three weeks from their April 4 regular-season opener against Arizona, construction of the Rockies' roster is nearing completion. While major questions remain at shortstop, backup catcher and in the bullpen, the basic foundation for the team is set. A look:
Rotation
The starters appear set — not in stone, mind you — but the five to open the season likely will be left-hander Jorge De La Rosa, and right-handers Chad Bettis, Jordan Lyles, Tyler Chatwood and Jon Gray. An injury would change things, and there is always a chance that a member of the quintet will pitch himself out of the rotation.
