Trevor Story has been an exciting player for the Rockies since his early days in the major leagues. He hit home run after home run in his first season, exciting Rockies fans before suffering an injury that took him out for a good portion of the year. While we were excited about his 10 early home runs, he also had 17 strikeouts, which was certainly overshadowed, but still there. This trend continued for Story into his second season, but he has worked on his plate discipline and has seen real success. He’s getting more contact, not just whiffing at balls over the plate.
