In a slow day for the minor league system, Boise made sure the excitement continued. Terrin Vavra swatted a walk off grand slam for the Hawks, his first home run of the season, to propel them to a 6-5 victory over the Vancouver Canadians. Vavra had all six RBI in the victory, hitting an RBI single and double earlier in the contest. Boise entered the ninth down 5-2 but two singles and a walk loaded the bases before Vavra sent everyone home happy with a line drive gland slam over the center field wall.
The thrilling comeback lifted Boise to a 15-11 record on the season.
