Ryan McMahon has been a promising young talent for the Rockies for a while now, and they decided to move ahead with him. He played outstandingly in spring training, but had just a brief outing before suffering an elbow injury that sidelined him for a bit. He took advantage of this time, though, working on the aspects of his game that he could, at least while injured. He’s certainly had some ups and downs in his time back, but his offensive contribution is undeniable, hitting .286 with nine RBIs and two home runs in his last nine games.
