The Colorado Rockies only won two games this past week, but they clinched the season series against the San Diego Padres last Friday. The struggled mightily against the Washington Nationals, and lost 3-0 in the Bronx against the New York Yankees last night. They do have two more against the Yankees this weekend, so we’ll see how that goes.
But this week saw the long-awaited MLB debut of Drew Romo, and fellow 2020 first-rounder Zac Veen was promoted to Triple-A Albuquerque yesterday.
Jordan Beck returned on August 13, and last Saturday’s game featured three players age-23 and younger in the same starting lineup for the first time 2008.
