While the Colorado Rockies starting rotation is still bad—mired in the muck of a rotten start in which their dead-last ranked combined ERA is almost a full point worse than the 29th ranked team—it’s important to look to the farm system and towards a hopeful future.
Last week I pointed out that Chase Dollander and a group of 2023 drafted starting pitchers across the four minor league affiliates represented that hopeful future as they got off to a strong start. Dollander and Sean Sullivan, who both are starting the season with the High-A Spokane Indians, were among that 2023 crop.
