The Colorado Rockies announced early on Wednesday afternoon that they are in agreement with catcher Jacob Stallings on a one-year deal.
Stallings, 34, signed with the Rockies prior to the 2024 season on a one-year, $1.5 million deal that included a mutual option for 2025. He declined that mutual option to negotiate a new contract after a strong first year in purple.
The full details of the new contract have yet to be made public, but it brings Stallings back into the fold for 2025 and includes a mutual option for 2026.
Although known primarily as a glove-first catcher, Stallings had one of the best offensive seasons of his career in 2024.
