The Rockies have three Gold Glove finalists

The Rawlings Gold Glove finalists were announced Tuesday morning and the Colorado Rockies received three nods: Ryan McMahon at third base, Ezequiel Tovar at shortstop, and Brenton Doyle in center field.

McMahon, 29, received his fourth-consecutive nomination alongside Nolan Arenado (St. Louis Cardinals) and Matt Chapman (San Francisco Giants). Last year, Ke’Bryan Hayes won it for the Pittsburgh Pirates. For the first time in his career, McMahon played every single game at the hot corner (152, 149 starts). He also played in his first All-Star Game. He faces stiff competition with Arenado and Chapman, but he leads the NL in assists (323) and total chances (436), is tied for second in double plays (33), and ranks fifth in fielding percentage (.
