Last week, I wrote about the dismal starts to the season for the major league and Triple-A levels of the Colorado Rockies organization. Entering that publication, the teams were 18-53 with a negative-184 run differential. Since then, the Isotopes have been stable (get it?), relatively speaking, with a 3-3 record although they’re still handing out runs faster than a salesman distributes their business cards.
The Rockies, though, have shined brightly and caught national attention with an improbable seven game winning streak spanning over three series starting with the San Francisco Giants before sweeps over the Texas Rangers and San Diego Padres.
