Story exits against Mets with jammed thumb

NEW YORK -- Rockies shortstop Trevor Story left Saturday night's game against the Mets in the bottom of the fourth inning with a jammed left thumb. The club announced that X-rays were negative.

Cristhian Adames replaced Story on defense.

Trevor Story lays out to try and glove Justin Ruggiano's ground ball in the 4th, but gets injured on the play and exits the game

Story, the National League record holder for home runs by a rookie shortstop with 27, originally jammed the thumb when he slid into second base in the top of the frame.
