The Rockies, looking for a defensive-minded shortstop to replace all-star Trevor Story, have agreed to a one-year deal with veteran José Iglesias, a major league source confirmed Saturday.
Colorado also agreed to a minor-league deal, with an invitation to major-league camp, with journeyman outfielder Scott Schebler. And the team also landed 33-year-old right-handed reliever Alex Colomé on a one-year deal.
The contracts, which are pending physicals, are not official yet. MLB.com’s Mark Mark Feinsand was the first to report the Iglesias deal and The Athletics’ Ken Rosenthal broke the news on Schebler. ESPN’s Enrique Rojas first reported the Colome’ deal.
