Saunders: Statistical review of Rockies season paints hit-and-miss picture

Every year at this time, the Rockies’ media relations staff puts out a numerical review of the season gone by. It’s a goldmine of statistics.

All of the obvious stuff is here, of course.

It comes as no shock that the Rockies’ terrible bullpen posted a 5.13 ERA, the worst in the majors and the franchise’s worst since 2004’s 5.53 ERA. It’s also not surprising that Colorado’s talented, potent offense thrived. Colorado’s 845 runs scored were the most since it scored 860 in 2007.
