The Rockies entered the weekend with a 73-80 record, their chances of a winning season close to zero.

Still, anyone who has watched the team this season will tell you there has been improvement, particularly with the club’s starting pitching. A playoff run in 2017 seems, if not probable, than at least possible.

The current season has been exhilarating at times, maddening at others. Here’s a paint-by-numbers look at what’s transpired:
