Wishful thinking and an unknown future. That’s my not-so-practical vision of the 2020 major league season.
In the age of the coronavirus, what we don’t know trumps what we do know. We might not see baseball played at all. Hopefully, I’m wrong about that.
So, with crossed fingers, here is my take on some of the reports and theories floating around about what might be in store in the months ahead.
— Major League Baseball was hoping to play a 140-game season, with games tacked on to the end of a schedule that would extend the regular season into late October.
