SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Leadership, clubhouse chemistry and a team’s mental toughness are difficult to define and even harder to measure.
Nonetheless, I believe that developing those traits could very well make or break the Rockies’ playoff hopes in 2019.
But first, some caveats.
Fans — and media — often overreact to emotions displayed on the field, in the dugout and in interviews. The truth is, even a beat writer such as myself, who’s around the Rockies a good deal of time, can’t always measure the true pulse of team. Plus, professional players don’t have to be best buddies in order for a team to win.
