Caught up in covering the drama of Nolan Arenado‘s now-public feud with Rockies general manager Jeff Bridich this past week, I didn’t have much time to contemplate Larry Walker’s election into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
So indulge me while I share some thoughts.
— I kept a close watch on the ballots as they became public and it strikes me as odd, and hypocritical, that some voters selected steroid users Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens for the Hall yet bypassed Walker. Their reasoning must go like this: “We know that Bonds and Clemens cheated but they were too great to be kept out of Coopertown.
