Ryan Spilborghs, former Rockies outfielder, biffs on foul ball at Rockies game

Ryan Spilborghs was a fan favorite during his seven years playing for the Rockies in Denver. He played on the 2007 World Series team and carried a career .981 fielding percentage. On Saturday night in Denver however, Spilbourghs made an error in the camera well next to the Rockies dugout while covering the game as a broadcaster for AT&T SportsNet.

He had his chance at catching the foul ball in the top of the first inning after Dodgers’ Kiké Hernandez hit a high foul pop that went right through Spilbourghs hands.

Spilborghs was a good sport about it and poked a little fun at himself on twitter with a reference to having hands like a frying pan.
