The Rockies placed starting pitcher Tyler Anderson (left knee inflammation) and Carlos Gonzalez (right shoulder strain) on the 10-day disabled list Monday, while also bringing right-hander Jairo Diaz up from Triple-A Albuquerque and reinstating reliever Chad Qualls (lower back spasms) from the DL.
Both Anderson and Gonzalez have been battling through continued pain as they've tried to contribute to a breakout season for Colorado, currently the owners of the National League's second Wild Card spot and 4 1/2 games back of the division-leading Dodgers.
Anderson's return from the disabled list was short-lived Sunday in Los Angeles, when pain returned to his left leg that was initially identified as a cramp in his hamstring.
