ATLANTA — This one’s going to leave a mark.
The Rockies wasted a pitching gem by Jon Gray and blew a chance to sweep the Braves Sunday, losing 1-0 in the ninth inning on Chase d’Arnaud’s walk-off single against reliever Gonzalez Germen.
d’Arnaud drove in Ender Inciarte, who led off ninth with a walk, advanced to second on Anthony Recker’s sacrifice bunt and moved to third on a wild pitch by Germen.
The Rockies were attempting to get their first sweep in Atlanta since Sept. 12-14, 1997.
Gray, 24, pitched the best game of his infant career.
