Rockies walk off against the Padres 8-7

On a night where Tyler Chatwood struggled once again at Coors Field, the Rockies pulled off a dramatic 8-7 victory over the Padres by virtue of four scoreless innings from their bullpen and a three-run rally in the bottom of the ninth inning after a hail delay that sent many of the 30,451 fans home.

But let's rewind a little bit.

San Diego jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a Wil Myers home run in the top of the first inning.

DJ LeMahieu extended his on-base streak to 32 games with a first inning single and advanced to third on a stolen base and a throwing error, but didn't score.
