Rockies’ Tyler Anderson has inflamed left knee, start pushed back to Saturday

Rockies left-hander Tyler Anderson, fresh off his best start of the season, has a tender left knee and was scratched from his scheduled Thursday night start against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Coors Field.

He’s now scheduled to pitch Saturday night against the Dodgers, an indication that his injury is not major. Anderson was replaced on the mound right-hander Trevor Hoffman, who was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs.

“It didn’t bother me during the last game,” said Anderson, who beat Arizona on Saturday, pitching six innings and allowing one run on six hits while striking out 10 and walking only one.
