Trevor Story knew it when he hit it.
His leadoff, 438-foot, solo walk-off homer off Stefan Crichton lifted the Rockies to a 4-3 win over Arizona Sunday afternoon at Coors Field. It was the fourth walk-off home run of Story’s career and gave Colorado a three-game sweep of the Diamondbacks — Colorado’s first three-game sweep of the season.
The Diamondbacks’ defeat extended their losing streak to eight games, their road losing streak to 12 games and dropped them into the National League West basement, behind the Rockies.
Colorado had tied the game, 3-3 in the eighth, but should have taken the lead.
