SAN FRANCISCO — Finally, the 2015 season is set to begin for lefty Jorge De La Rosa.
The Rockies' top pitcher, sidelined since spring training with a nagging left groin strain, is scheduled to make his debut Monday night against the San Diego Padres at Coors Field.
"I feel good. I'm ready and excited to get started," De La Rosa said Wednesday.
De La Rosa struck out five in five innings of his second injury rehab start at Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday night. He gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits — including a two-run homer by Jabari Blash in the fifth inning — and threw strikes on 50 of his 76 pitches.
